Ultherapy PRIME

See tissue layers for a more tailored lifting plan

Ultherapy PRIME combines microfocused ultrasound with DeepSEE real-time imaging, allowing the physician to observe tissue layers before and during treatment. Tip depth and energy distribution are planned around tissue thickness, laxity and contour goals.

About Ultherapy PRIME

01

DeepSEE adds imaging guidance

Real-time ultrasound imaging helps the physician observe skin and underlying tissue, check transducer contact and the intended treatment layer, and account for differences in thickness across areas.

02

Different depths for different layers

The manufacturer offers transducer depths including 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5 mm. Imaging and the area’s condition guide coverage, energy and pulse planning for the layers that need attention.

03

Follow gradual changes over time

Collagen remodelling takes time, with changes usually observed gradually at around 2–3 months. Photographs taken at similar angles and lighting help track contours and laxity.

Frequently asked questions

How does real-time imaging differ from ordinary photographs?

Photographs record external appearance. DeepSEE ultrasound imaging helps observe tissue layers and transducer contact. The two provide complementary information for planning and follow-up.

When can changes be seen?

Changes are usually observed gradually at approximately 2–3 months, and some may continue developing. Timing and degree depend on tissue condition, age and the treatment plan.

How much time should I allow?

The manufacturer lists a general treatment time of around 30–90 minutes, depending on the area and coverage. Allow additional time for physician assessment and preparation.

What does treatment feel like?

Energy delivery may feel warm, prickly or tight deeper in the tissue. Comfort measures are discussed beforehand, and you can give feedback throughout treatment.

Can I return to work afterwards?

Most people can resume daily activities. Temporary redness, swelling or tenderness may occur. Mention important upcoming events when booking so timing can be planned.

Can it be combined with radiofrequency?

A combination can be discussed for skin firmness and lifting needs. The physician will consider areas, previous treatments and budget when planning a single or combined approach.
