What is GENIUS?
GENIUS is a bipolar RF microneedling system. Disposable microneedle tips enter a physician-selected depth before radiofrequency energy is delivered within the tissue. Needle depth, power and pulse duration can be adjusted on the device.
The important point is not the specification alone. A treatment called “GENIUS” can still differ in coverage, depth, energy and clinical planning. Your consultation should explain which areas are being treated and why.
Why zone-by-zone planning matters
The forehead, eye area, cheeks, nose and jawline do not have the same thickness or treatment goal. We first identify whether the main concern is surface texture, pores and acne scarring, or fine lines, elasticity and contour. The physician then determines how GENIUS may fit into the overall plan.

The clinic routinely uses the Aura 3D imaging system to establish a visual baseline. Images support consistent follow-up comparisons but do not replace medical diagnosis.
GENIUS versus non-invasive RF
Non-invasive RF generally delivers energy from the surface. GENIUS uses microneedles to deliver bipolar RF at selected depths. Neither automatically replaces the other. They differ in treatment layer, technique and the concerns for which they may be considered. A physician will assess whether RF microneedling is appropriate and whether another procedure should be scheduled separately.

Please allow approximately 90 minutes for the full visit, including consultation, imaging, topical anaesthetic and treatment. Actual timing depends on the treatment area and skin condition.
Areas that may be assessed
The face, neck, body, stretch marks and scalp may be assessed. The same tip and settings are not applied automatically to every area. The physician first considers the diagnosis, tissue thickness and role of RF microneedling before recommending the tip, depth and energy plan.
Recovery and follow-up
Temporary redness, swelling, warmth, tenderness, pinpoint marks or crusting may occur. The intensity and recovery time vary with skin condition, treatment area and settings. Follow the clinic’s aftercare instructions, simplify skincare and use sun protection. Contact the clinic if a reaction is more intense or lasts longer than expected.
Results are not judged by same-day tightness alone. Consistent photographs and follow-up are used to decide whether the next session should be maintained, adjusted or replaced with a different approach.
When a course is planned, sessions are commonly assessed at approximately 4–6 week intervals. A typical annual plan may include two to three sessions, depending on the concern, treatment area and response to the previous session.

FAQ
Is GENIUS painful?
People may feel needling, pressure and heat. Sensation varies by area, depth, energy and individual sensitivity. A topical anaesthetic is routinely applied before treatment, and the physician adjusts the procedure according to the area and individual response.
Does higher energy always mean better results?
No. The goal is to place appropriate energy at the appropriate depth and area. Settings are selected according to tissue thickness, scar pattern, treatment goals and safety boundaries.
Can one session make a difference?
Changes in skin quality may become noticeable around 1–2 weeks after treatment, while lifting and tightening changes may develop gradually over approximately 2–3 months. The clinic uses the Aura 3D imaging system and photographs taken from consistent angles to track progress. Responses and timing vary with skin condition and treatment settings. When a course is planned, the next session is generally assessed after 4–6 weeks; a typical annual plan may include two to three sessions.
Can GENIUS be combined with other treatments?
Geo Aesthetic Clinic recommends complementary treatments according to the skin concerns being addressed, such as AI美光針, CureJet or Sculptra. The physician assigns each treatment a role based on skin texture, acne scars, fine lines and contour, then plans the combination, sequence and intervals around recent treatments and recovery.
Who needs physician assessment before treatment?
Tell the clinic about active inflammation, infection, wounds, pregnancy or breastfeeding, medication that affects bleeding or skin condition, implants, special medical conditions and recent energy-based or invasive procedures.
