Start with the skin concern, not the treatment name
Some people are not looking to reshape their face or add visible volume. They are concerned about makeup sitting less smoothly, fine lines appearing more noticeable when the skin is dry, or the face and neck losing some softness, hydration and suppleness.
Doublyx EVO is an injectable medical device based on non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid. Unlike crosslinked hyaluronic acid products developed for structural support or contouring, the discussion around Doublyx EVO generally focuses on hydration, the appearance of fine lines and overall skin-quality management.
At Geo Aesthetic Clinic, dryness alone does not automatically lead to an injection plan. The physician first considers whether the concern is related to dehydration, an unstable skin barrier, facial movement, structural change or another condition that may require a different strategy.
What is Doublyx EVO?
Doublyx EVO Hyaluronic Gel contains 40 mg of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid in a 2 mL syringe. Manufacturer information describes a molecular-weight range of approximately 1.2–1.8×10⁶ Daltons and a sterile, biodegradable injectable-gel formulation.
In Taiwan, the product is registered as a Class III medical device under license number 衛部醫器輸字第 038181 號. Suitability, treatment areas, injection depth and amount must be assessed and performed by a qualified physician.
What concerns can be discussed during consultation?
The following concerns may be raised during consultation, but they do not mean that Doublyx EVO is automatically the appropriate choice:
- Skin that feels dry or appears less hydrated, with makeup sitting less smoothly
- Fine-line appearance associated with dryness or reduced suppleness on the face or neck
- Rough or tired-looking skin when the goal is subtle skin-quality management
- A preference to discuss skin texture rather than visible volumisation or contour change
The physician must also confirm that the skin is stable and review inflammation, infection, allergy history, medications, pregnancy and breastfeeding before planning treatment.
How is it different from crosslinked hyaluronic acid fillers?
| Consideration | Doublyx EVO | Crosslinked hyaluronic acid |
|---|---|---|
| Product structure | Non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid | Different degrees of crosslinking and physical properties, depending on the product |
| Common planning focus | Hydration, fine-line appearance and overall skin quality | Structural support, filling and contour planning |
| Planning method | Based on skin condition, area and skin thickness | Based on anatomy, volume requirements and treatment area |
| Are they interchangeable? | No decision should be based on the name alone | Product and strategy should be selected after physician assessment |
Neither category is inherently “better.” They are designed for different objectives. If dehydration, lines, volume loss and contour concerns exist together, the physician should decide the sequence rather than asking one product to address every concern.
How does Geo Aesthetic Clinic plan treatment?
1. Distinguish skin-quality concerns from structural concerns
The same visible line may relate to dryness, facial movement, skin elasticity, or changes in bone, fat and support. Different causes require different plans.
2. Decide the area, depth and amount
The face, neck and hands differ in skin thickness and movement. Product distribution, whether treatment is divided into sessions, and whether another procedure should be considered all require individual planning.
3. Use the response to guide the next step
Geo Aesthetic Clinic does not replace assessment with a fixed “four-session package.” The physician reviews the skin response, recovery and goals after treatment before discussing any further session or interval.
Information to tell your physician before treatment
- Current medications, supplements and anticoagulant-related medicines
- Allergy history, autoimmune conditions or other relevant medical history
- Recent injections, lasers, radiofrequency, ultrasound or other procedures
- Inflammation, infection, wounds or herpes in the proposed treatment area
- Pregnancy, plans for pregnancy or breastfeeding
Do not stop prescribed medication on your own. Any adjustment should be discussed with the prescribing physician and treating physician.
What temporary reactions may occur?
Temporary redness, swelling, injection marks or bruising may occur. The experience and recovery period vary between individuals. Follow the clinic’s instructions for cleansing, moisturising and sun protection, and avoid friction and high-temperature activities for the advised period. Contact the clinic promptly if discomfort persists, worsens or changes unexpectedly.
The physician will explain complete precautions and uncommon risks according to the individual treatment plan.
Frequently asked questions
Is Doublyx EVO the same as a conventional hyaluronic acid filler?
Not exactly. Doublyx EVO is a non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid product generally discussed for hydration and skin-quality management. Crosslinked products have different physical properties and may be used for structural support, filling or contour planning. Selection requires consultation.
Will there be no swelling or bruising?
This cannot be guaranteed. Any injection may cause temporary marks, redness, swelling or bruising. The degree varies with the area, technique, individual tendency and medication use.
Will one session create a visible change?
Starting skin conditions and goals differ, so a single-session result should not be promised. The physician first identifies the concern and then reviews the actual response before planning the next step.
How many sessions are needed?
There is no fixed number suitable for everyone. Session count and interval depend on the area, skin condition, lifestyle, recovery and treatment goal.
How long does it last?
Duration varies with metabolism, treatment area, amount, treatment plan and daily care. A single duration estimate cannot apply to every person.
Can sensitive skin be treated?
“Sensitive skin” can describe an unstable barrier, allergy, inflammation or another skin condition. Active redness, swelling, itching, infection or wounds generally require assessment and stabilisation before an injectable treatment is considered.
Can it be combined with lasers, radiofrequency, ultrasound or other injections?
The sequence and interval depend on the purpose, treatment depth and recovery period. Tell the physician about all recent procedures and do not independently schedule multiple treatments on the same day.
